Officers and board members:

The following individuals were elected as LCHS Board officers for the upcoming year:

President – Jean Ketchel

Vice-President – Angie McDunn

Secretary – Lisa Mecklenberg Jackson

Treasurer – Gerry Daumiller

Because the LCHS Bylaws were amended in September 2002 to make one LCHS Board, a motion was made, seconded, and passed that all current auxiliary board members and new board candidates (Shauna Stallings, Kaye Davis, Annie Murfitt, Judy Trevor, Mary Lou Jorns, Anne O’Leary, and Jan Sheehan) be accepted onto the LCHS Board.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Boo Bash will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10:30-12:30 at Capital Hill Mall.  The mall has requested a $100 damage deposit this year.  Jean made the motion, Sara seconded, to pay the $100.  Pam said she would find the $100.  Ed Benasky will take pictures at the event.  There will be a $3.00 registration fee with a $1.00 per event fee.  Jean will chair the event with Gerry, Sara, Jane, and several of the new board members assisting.  It was reported that Linda Owen has a list of volunteers who might help also.

Gerry passed out, and briefly discussed, a letter to all board members explaining the requirements and expectations of LCHS Board members.

Denise made a motion, Tia seconded, to raise membership fees for the Lewis and Clark Humane Society from $15 to $20 for an individual membership, and from $25 to $35 for a family membership.  The motion passed.  There was some discussion on how to make it more obvious that we look for members.  There should be a sign-up form at all community events, etc.

Adjournment:  The board meeting adjourned at approximately 8:10 pm.  The next LCHS Board meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 pm at the stray pet center.

Respectfully Submitted,

Lisa Mecklenberg Jackson
