Several versions

A motion was made
by Tia, seconded by Annie, to accept Gina’s letter to the Helena Police
Department/Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Department requesting that they
no longer bring cats into the shelter after hours. Motion passed. The letter (and the policy manual) will
reflect this change and the change that dogs brought into the shelter after
hours will be impounded directly into the Stray Pet Center behind the
building. Gina also asked that she be
allowed to change the front locks on the main building. Annie made the motion to accept the change
and Tia seconded. Motion passed. Gina also stated the shelter will not be
adopting out any black cats from now until two weeks after Halloween.
There will be a clean-up day at the shelter on Oct. 19 beginning at noon. Petoween will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11-1 at Big R. Pam will call people to help. Santa Paws will be Dec. 6-7. The fundraising committee will be handling the details.
ADJOURNMENT: The board meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm. The next LCHS Board meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003 at 6:30 pm in the Ponderosa Room at St. Peter’s Hospital.
